Provider site Redesign

The project
Anthem’s Medicaid business needed to migrate 20+ provider websites from an outdated SharePoint system to Oracle Web Center Sites. This provided an ideal opportunity to streamline the sites into a cohesive, user-friendly structure that would improve navigation and allow providers to quickly access critical information.
Besides making the sites easier for providers, a second primary goal was to make maintenance and updates a faster and consistent experience for internal stakeholders.
What we did
We kicked off the project with a deep dive into research, letting insights from user surveys, Google Analytics, and stakeholder conversations guide our direction.
Next, we built a flexible, component-based architecture to streamline the migration of the 20+ sites, standardizing navigation, prioritizing access to key tools, and implementing a smart internal linking strategy for effortless content discovery.
For the design, we crafted a reusable, scalable structure that could easily adapt to different brands, ensuring consistency across various markets while maintaining a seamless user experience.
The outcome
The new structure created a well-organized, user-friendly experience across 20+ sites, making key tools and resources easily accessible.
With streamlined navigation and efficient internal linking, users found what they needed without external support, reducing calls to the Provider Services line.
The sustainable architecture also enabled quick and easy content updates, ensuring the sites could grow and evolve without disruption.
